Dragon Fruit Coconut Margarita (Full Recipe)
Serves: 1 frozen cocktail
Time: 5 minutes
Glass: margarita glass, hurricane, or plastic cup
Ingredients
2 oz (60 ml) tequila blanco
1 oz (30 ml) triple sec (or Cointreau)
1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice
1 oz (30 ml) coconut cream (or cream of coconut for sweeter)
¾ cup dragon fruit (pitaya) chunks, frozen (pink pitaya gives the best color)
1 to 1½ cups ice (start with 1 cup)
½ oz (15 ml) agave syrup or simple syrup (optional, to sweeten)
Rim + Garnish (optional)
Sugar rim (or tajín for sweet-spicy)
Dragon fruit slice / lime wheel / mini umbrella
Instructions
Rim the cup (optional): Rub lime on the rim, dip into sugar (or tajín).
Blend: Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, coconut cream, frozen dragon fruit, ice, and agave (if using) to a blender.
Blend until smooth + slushy: 20–40 seconds.
Adjust texture:
Too thick → add 1–2 tbsp water or a splash of coconut water.
Too thin → add more ice or more frozen fruit.
Pour + garnish: Pour into the prepared glass, garnish, and serve immediately.
Quick Variations
Mocktail: Replace tequila + triple sec with 3 oz coconut water + 1 oz orange juice (or alcohol-free triple sec) + extra lime.
Spicy: Add a pinch of chili powder or a jalapeño slice in the blender.
Extra tropical: Add 1 oz pineapple juice (reduce sweetener)
