Today was one of the most emotional and beautiful moments I’ve ever experienced. My mom’s church surprised her with a birthday luncheon, and at the end of the service everyone gathered around singing “Happy Birthday.”
As she turned toward the back of the church, she saw me walking down the aisle to surprise her. In complete shock and amazement she yelled, “OMG, my son is here!” — and immediately broke down in tears.
In that moment, nothing else mattered. To feel that kind of love from your mother is something words can barely describe. Seeing her overwhelmed with joy, emotion, and happiness is a memory I’ll hold close to my heart forever. Moments like this remind me how precious family truly is.
