The basics have stayed the same, but my knowledge and creativity have evolved 💭

Furniture isn’t the only DIY’ing I do! I have a Cricut that I love doing projects with! Here I completed some cups for a bachelorette party! I took two colors of pink layered them to make them pop!

AFTER & BEFORE

I did something crazy with this one! I add COLOR, guys I rarely ever do color. My husband really wanted me to do blue, so I gave it a shot!

Best part? I got the color in the Home Depot discount paint spot for $2 ☺️

SHES FINALLY FINISHED!

This bed was a labor of love and I am so proud of myself. In all of my years of DIY I have never done such a large project.

It took trial and error, some YouTube, and patience but I love it. Thank you to for the inspiration and guidance on your blog, it wouldn’t be possible without it! Onto the next DIY project 🥰

This small console dresser came from my great grandmother, and if I’m correct was her aunts before that. I love the dovetailing of the drawers and that I still utilize it to hold our families favorite games.

This dresser has been THROUGH IT. when I first got it, I was 18 years old and it was covered in old, yellowing, white paint. I was new to my flipping journey so I sanded it down some and painted it an ugly green. (Like 70s wallpaper green 🤢) I came to my senses a year later and repainted it white!

Fast forward to 23 and I was over the all white complete farmhouse look and stripped the top and drawers down to its natural beauty. I couldn’t get the paint of the sides so I chose a black to the match other pieces of furniture in my house. I’m sure I’ll change it again in the future 😅 but that’s the beauty of the art!

Todays featured DIY is a 2’fer!

The floating shelf was my creative idea and I got help on the ex*****on from my dad. He’s my go to when it comes to mathing out my ideas. I haven’t done any finishing to this knotty pine, I’m vibing with it natural right now.

The canvas art on top was a solo project. I got the canvas and frame for $10 from goodwill and used joint compound, and paint samples from other projects I had going on.

I know some may not think the baby books on the shelf are ✨aesthetic✨ but I’m about functionality too! Things I create often have 1 of 2 things…

1. Beauty that bring joy
2. Functionality
Bonus: BOTH

Here’s one of my most recent flips!

Before, this dresser had a yellow/white paint over the entire thing. I found it for free on FB Marketplace and decided to give it back life! I took it apart, sanded it down and painted the base black because I couldn’t get enough of the pain off for the beautiful wood to show through. The drawers and top have a clear polyurethane coat on them for protection.

Now it’s home to a growing family whose going to use it for their future babies clothes 💕
