Native Resources and members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association met at St Mary's food bank, for our annual tradition of giving back to the community.

This year we donated our regular $10k contribution, but in a change for 2025, we decided to add an additional $5k in donations. This was done in honor of some of our clients, vendors and contributors, that helped make this year very special.

Santa Rob had a couple helpers this year and we were able to check out the beautiful new facilities that St Mary's moved into last August in central Phoenix.

These donations that we made today will feed roughly 75k people and helps the food bank with the need to send out 3,500 boxes a day, with roughly 200 volunteers.

Sometimes we forget that some of the things our guys do in the field, that look impossible at first glance, are very much doable with all these years of expertise.

At a residence in Paradise Valley, a tree gave our team a chance to prove that just because it is a 144" box, doesn't mean it can't be moved to fulfill a clients wish.

A tree of this size has only been relocated a handful of times over the years and the interesting part is that it isn't one of our standard desert trees, but a rare Lysiloma tree.

This tree weighed 70,000 pounds and
was moved after a roughly 6 month process of prep, digging, bottoming and eventual relocation.

Sometimes beauty is in the eye of beholder and this is certainly true about how the public chooses our trees for purchase and install into their landscaping projects.

This week at a residential project in Phoenix, we planted a roughly 200 year old large ironwood in the front yard of one of our really good clients.

Incorporating "living art" is how our tree sales division describes the installation of trees with this aesthetic look.

Great work by Emily Kout and her sales team and our expert Guillermo Ortiz, who handled the installation side.

This is what happens when the complexity of a high end residential landscape is met by a company whose vast expertise in the installation of large native trees is second to none.

At the Shattock Residence, Native Resources is taking on the challenge of being a turnkey contractor for the project in Paradise Valley.

In 2024 we started with the salvage of the plants from site, which was a bit of a challenge given the hard dig conditions you find on Camelback Mountain.

NRI is also contracted to not only install the salavged plants and large specimens from our tree sales program, but the entire landscape package.

This job requires a great synergy of our experts and representatives from two of our best clients at RJ Gurley and The Green Room.

As always on the types of jobs it is a team effort, but the precision and high level workmanship of Alejandro Ortiz on the reachfork, loader and backhoe is what truly seperates us in the industry.

Over the last couple of months Native Resources has been involved in supporting the new large city of Peoria development called Innovation Core.

Working with our long time partners Valley Rain, NRI helped save about 100 trees and about 250 cactus.

Given the aggressive timeline to finish the Phase 1 work, the team lead by Sergio Ramos worked long overtime days and the weekend to get the job done.
