New rules go into effect in June for almost all tyoes operable window treatments.

The short version is that the vast majoritu of operable shades etc will have to be cordless or motorized. This includes custom made products that could previously be made with a traditional lifting cord.

This is being done to enhance the safety of homes with small children that can get tangled (or strangled) on exposed cords.

Please consider upgrading your existing window coverings with products that are *Safe For Kids* and share this important information with others you may know that work in related industries such as residential remodeling or real estate.
