Distinguished by a client-centered approach, she is cognitive of the importance of family dynamics and draws upon this knowledge from the onset of the design phase. Machinist is a member of the American Institute of Architects, a past trustee of the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center Theater Restoration and has served five terms as Zoning Administrator of the Historic Village of Grand View on Hudson, New York. Her residential work has been featured in prestigious house tours of the Historical Society of Rockland County and her recent residential and commercial work has enjoyed extensive coverage in design journals. Completed works range from Manhattan penthouses and Soho lofts to private residences in New York, Connecticut, the Hamptons, Palm Beach, New England and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
