Don't let a little drought stress your trees out!
Use these tips and if you have more concerns, give us a call!
Timing and Frequency
Water trees early in the morning or late in the evening to minimize evaporation and prevent leaf burn from midday sun. Newly planted trees require more frequent watering—daily for the first couple of weeks, then 2–3 times per week during the growing season. Established trees generally need watering every 2–3 weeks during extreme drought, though sandy soils may require more frequent irrigation. Always check soil moisture with a screwdriver or trowel; if it cannot pe*****te 6–8 inches, it’s time to water.
