If you saw me crying yesterday, just know they were happy tears.
I couldn’t help but cry throughout the day because of the overwhelming love and support shown for Cody, Hannah, and those babies. Never in a million years would I have thought something like this would be possible, but because of the love and support of this community, look what we’ve done! Huge thank you to Gleason’s for matching my donation. We were able to make a donation of $1,400 to the Hannah Howard Memorial Fund and an additional $100 donation to the Francis family.
I thank God for using me as a vessel in all of this and allowing me to play a small part in helping these families during such a heartbreaking time.
I had the opportunity to speak with several members of the family, and one thing was made very clear: they know they are not alone. They have felt the love, the prayers, the support, and the kindness being poured out from this community. In the middle of such unimaginable heartbreak, that is a beautiful thing.
This was never about me, and it was never about a bake sale. It was about a community coming together and showing unwavering love and support when it mattered most. It was about making sure a grieving father and family could feel the arms of an entire community wrapped around them.
Yesterday reminded me that there are still so many good people in this world. I have not lost faith in humanity. You all showed up and showed out in a way that I will never forget.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for every prayer, every share, every donation, every purchase, every kind word, and every act of support. You made a difference, and the family knows it. ❤️
