With a vision for sustainable agriculture in the mountains, Pinson advocates with the passion of a farmer, the skills of a cook, and the palate of a culinary adventurer. Known for her red hat and pointy toed shoes, Pinson is a media personality in Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia promoting home cooking, Appalachian foodways, and raising awareness of heirloom vegetables and heritage breed livestock.. The farm has recently expanded to include flower production and a pumpkin patch. Pinson is a contributing writer to several regional newspapers, is a reoccurring guest on local broadcasts, is a free-lance writer, and community organizer.
