Street trees are often temporary and need to be replaced. This is not always fun task because of the strong community connection to the trees, especially those with sentimental meaning.

Sadly, the original Freedom Tree had to be removed from Downtown Goldsboro due to its decline. But, still we consider ourselves fortunate to be a part of continuing the tradition. Celebrating freedom and honoring those that served 53 years after the original planting.

Sometimes things just need to get done!

In about 3 weeks the City of Goldsboro will host the 2024 North Carolina Main Street Conference. For three days people from all over NC will visit our downtown and surrounding areas to learn how to plan for improvements to their communities.

We had a blast today helping get ready. Feel free to pitch in and help any time you see us working...we picked up a few new helpers today!

If you follow our page you know that this is a project that is near and dear to our hearts. This Tuesday, June 4, Goldsboro's Union Station will be open to the general public for the first time in 15 years. Come down and see what we are so excited about!

Last week we had the honor and privilege to begin the clean-up + restoration of one of Goldsboro's most iconic landmarks, Union Station.
