Sometimes it's the little jobs that create the most impact. I had a client call and say they couldn't get out their front door because the electronic lock was having issues. A quick replacement and programming along with some latch adjustments to the door k**b netted me this note this morning:

"Good morning ☀️ Just wanted to say thank you for the awesome job on the lock yesterday, I took the dogs to the park this morning and it was so nice to be key-free again!! And, the door, the lock - all works like buttah!"

“Working with Wood” seemed to be this weeks theme. I had a couple little jobs that allowed me to get some of the pre-work done at home.
The transition piece, that I thought was going to take me longer than it did, was to replace something the client hated and asked about a long time ago but more pressing issues put if off until some of them were finished.

The shelving was a request from a new client in his SMALL condo storage area. He just wanted some basic shelves. I’ll go back in a few weeks to get some storage shelves installed inside the condo closet where the office will be.

Outdoor week, it seems. Was contacted by a repeat client to replace some rotted trim boards around his garage doors. We decided that pvc boards wouldn’t have the same problems as the wood so went with that.
I got a chance to use my 3D printer to make some biscuits for joining the corners then used pocket screws to make the mechanical connection. Now if only the stucco was perfectly straight it would have taken 1/2 the time to complete!

Received a note from my client with some updated pictures after paint, quarter round and ,what i consider, high praise.

“Thanks again for all your help providing the results no other floor guys would even quote us on.”

Finished another section of hardwood. Most people wouldn’t take the time to make this how the client wanted (no raised transitions!!!) but working with the owner we made it happen. It was 20 hours total and doesn’t look as technical as it was to accomplish. For most of the transition into the rooms we had to route our own tongue and grooves and have them perfect as there was no room for error.

It was a busy week at the beginning if a busy month.

We rebuilt some rear entrance stairs a bit wider so the owner didn’t have to back down the stairs to swing the door open.
Then we put down another room of laminate flooring as we continue to assist with a total home makeover. Then today I assisted with more kitchen rehab wrapping the island, cutting the toe kicks and some other random tasks.
