Installed a second handrail for some close friends. The handrail is oak that is stained and finished. The wall boards are pine that have a routered edge and are also stained and finished. The original top caps of the knee walls were nothing more than glorified plastic so they asked if I could replace it with real wood, they are now stained and finished pine with oak trim. I also installed the wall boards on the original handrail to strengthen it because the builder used drywall anchors when it was first installed.

Rebuilt this handrail for a customer. They liked the style it was just not the condition it was in. The original stairs were sinking into the dirt. That was solved with a rebar reinforced pad and freshly rebuilt stairs. Their second story balcony had plywood for the floor, it's much sturdier now with new deck boards. I forgot to take before photos on this one sorry.

Had fun building this 8x12 with the stairs and rebar reinforced landing pad. The handrails are benches that over hang the edge with the help of a handy dandy bracket the customer had and they really make the porch feel bigger.
