Carneys Interior & Exterior We are a family-owned and operated general contractor for northern New Hampshire and Vermont.

We offer quality interior and exterior painting, staining, patchwork, minor carpentry, and maintenance services. We tend to book up 3 to 6 months ahead for exterior work in a lot of cases for larger jobs. Be sure to inquire about booking an appointment for your free estimate today. It is not quite a year later given we did this job last late May thru early June, but it was such a nice day while we were out dropping off paint color palettes, I had Bill stop so I can grab the updated images...2 coats not only cover well but holds up to our harsh winters we have. The durability and quality of a 2-coat paint job is the key to having hold up through the challenging weather here in the north country longer than a one coat job, not to mention the fact that there is no color bleeding through from the previous color it was painted with. We are still building the 2024 exterior season's schedule, and yes there is still room for some interior work. These are the Finish images of the garage walls that were painted with the color Cordovan Leather, Trim Simply White, and the doors Moroccan Ruby. If you look carefully at the images the first several are without shutters because they had not had them previously. The garage had just been built. Once we had initially completed the job, we were asked to make a return trip to design and build some shutters for all the garage windows to best match the ones' already on the home. In the last several images you will notice the shutters were designed and built to meet the homeowners' requests, and were done later in the summer months, a true testament of the quality of the work still looking as if it had just been painted. I do plan to return to a few of last year's job sites to take one year later photographs to help demonstrate why a two-coat application works best, not only for looks but quality and durability to help it last longer given this area the weather can wear paint jobs quickly around here.

These images are of the guys hard at work at the rear entrance where the wall needed to be removed/replaced with new T1-11, primed with Kilz for the bare wood, then 2 coats of paint was applied of the color Cordovan Leather, and the deck has its first coat of CWF sealant at this point.

Here are the finish images of the exterior paint job we did in Colebrook earlier this spring. The job was done with minimal prep work, and two coats of paint on the back side of the garage and home (home bulkhead, home & garage walls & trim including windows and one door. The prep work involved was scraping and caulking where needed. The front side involved minor prep with minimal scraping and caulking that included the trim, one privacy window, and two entrance doors including the trim around them. We could have done more prep but at the request of the homeowners we did minimal. We have done work in Stewartstown, West Stewartstown and a few others since the season began. We are currently working a job site in Clarksville, N.H. and will be in this town for a bit as we have a log cabin upcoming, and a few others. We do still have room for deck work in July, which is the best time to do them where the overnight temps are optimum for this sort of work. All other painting, prep work and carpentry are booking into July and August, and, nearly fully booked for the fall season. Be sure to book an appointment to get your free estimate before our schedule fills up, and the weather grows cooler, and eventually too cold for exterior work. We do offer interior work year round. Be sure to inquire within for additional details.

This year we are operating with a full size crew, and are expanding what we offer as a result of having another member of the family join our team this past December. We are now additionally offering Vinyl Siding, Windows & Doors! We had some experience in this area but only did repair work. With Alan joining our crew he brings more than 30 years experience in vinyl siding (his true passion), carpentry and painting which will add even more efficiency of the work we offer, and now able to make full size vinyl siding jobs available. In the images below Alan and Bill did a remove/replace carpentry job in Clarksville where the removed rotting wood where needed with pressure treated lumber in its place including resetting the deck by jacking it back up (level) and removing a broken beam and replacing it with pressure treated lumber back in January. You can see the difference in the images. It really came out nice. Can't wait to see how it looks when it is stained this summer! We are booking into late June presently but with the full size crew job sites are being completed sooner, thus leaving room for booking additional jobs this year. So far we will be in Lemington, Vermont, Colebrook, and Clarksville, New Hampshire. Be sure to book your appointment today to receive a free estimate and get on the schedule before openings fill up.
