I'm incredibly sad to say that Ralphi, one of my sweetest little artist's assistants, has passed. She was an incredible rabbit and friend, by my side through 3 serious relationships, a PhD, two states, an engagement, and my starting my own business with Love's Palette.
I will love her and miss her forever.

Although I always put a lot of work into my studio touchups, there are occasions where "touchups" need to be taken a step farther.

In this case, Jennylynne wanted us to paint her wedding AND provide guest sketches, which was a great time! However, that also meant that I could not continue to paint through the reception, as is standard, so I pulled together a roughly completed painting during the time I had at the ceremony, and really reworked the painting in studio after the fact.

This weekend , we had a great evening of guest sketching for Rabia and Veronica! Truly a wonderful couple to work with, and unsurprisingly, they seem to have found an equally lovely group of friends and family to celebrate their wedding. Stephanie and Justin, you make a stunning couple.

Although Stephanie reached out for a live painting, I was unfortunately already booked for her day. However, once she received her wedding photos, she sent me her and her husband's favorite one to recreate in studio (what I call a "commissioned painting"), which enabled me to really take my time capturing all of the lovely details of the scene 🩵🎨
