Some spaces just stop you in your tracks. 🤍

This is custom outdoor living at its finest, and the drone footage doesn't even do it justice.
Here's what went into it:

🤍 600 sq ft re-deck in TimberTech Advanced PVC, Landmark Collection in French White Oak🖤 Westbury Tuscany railings in textured white with square balusters🪵 Single board picture frame with Pro Plugs (no visible screws anywhere)💡 25 post cap lights + 8 stair riser lights🪜 Two sets of new construction stairs, aligned and clean

Beyond the finish, this Allison Park build got the details that set the best decks apart: flashing tape wrapped through the entire substructure, hidden fasteners, and a crisp white-on-white palette that reads timeless and high-end.

This is the kind of space you invest in once and enjoy for decades.

The upgrades Pittsburgh homeowners can’t stop asking for. 🙌

These are the 5 features that take a custom deck from great to unforgettable:

🔒 Custom locking gate
🪵 Privacy screens
🥂 Drink rail
✨ Pro Plugs
☁️ Under-deck ceiling

Some add security, some add style, and some basically add a whole second living space. All of them make your deck a place you never want to leave.

Which one would you add first? Drop it in the comments. 👇

There’s something satisfying about watching it all come together, and this Allison Park build is one we can’t wait to properly show off.

It’s multi-level, multiple sets of stairs, multiple sides of the house, cable railings, drink rail, Pro plugs, stair riser lighting, an under-deck ceiling and so much more! 🤩 A true custom build with custom features designed exactly how the homeowners want to enjoy their space.

And to think… it all started with a contest. (That’s a little tease 😉… lots more to come!)

A deal is a deal. 🖊️😂

If Lily sinks all three, you have to hire us. (We don’t make the rules.)

Matt, however, is paying the price for this content. Somebody book a deck so the pens can stop. 🙏

“I love a good before and after.” Same, Lily. Same.

Here’s what went into our latest transformation in Mt. Lebanon:

🏖️ 16x14 deck with a landing and stairs, Deckorators® Venture decking in Sandbar
🖤 Westbury Tuscany railings in textured black aluminum
🪵 Single board picture frame with Pro Plugs (no visible screws)
✨ Two posts set for future bistro lights or a shade sail
♿ ADA-compliant secondary handrail on the stairs
🪜 Closed-riser stairs with railings on both sides

Beyond the finish, this deck got the details that make it last: flashing tape wrapped through the entire substructure, hidden fasteners, and framing done right from the ground up.

But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what Katie had to say in a Google review:

“Everyone at Gerger was so wonderful! From our initial meeting all the way to the final product, we couldn’t be happier. They went out of their way to explain the process and make sure we knew what was happening. We would absolutely work with them again. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”

That right there is the whole goal. Your backyard could be next. Let’s talk. 👇

In ten years of building custom outdoor living spaces across Pittsburgh, we’ve learned what homeowners actually want. And it’s not “the most expensive deck.” It’s this:

Quality, craftsmanship, a place to host the people they love, and a company they can trust from the first call to the final board.

That’s what we deliver, every single time. The price tag isn’t the point. The experience and the peace of mind are.

If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in the right place.

Matt and Lily are letting you in on it, the one move that puts you ahead of every other homeowner come springtime.

Look, not every homeowner is going to choose us. And that’s okay. We’re not the cheapest option, and we’ve never pretended to be.

But here’s the thing: a lot of the work we do is fixing decks that weren’t built right the first time. So if the budget builder cuts a corner, skips the flashing tape, or disappears halfway through? You know who to call.
We’ll leave the card. 😏

No hard feelings, ever. Just quality work that holds up, whether we’re building it from scratch or making it right.
