Our Story
Pittsburgh Remodeling Company is the vision of Robert Schwerdt, a Pittsburgh native and outside-the-box thinker. Rob honed his own trade skills while developing business systems for several years before Pittsburgh Remodeling Company hired its first employee. He wanted to ensure that any employees he hired would give the same care, attention, and quality to his clients as he did. Rob sought individuals with passion, drive, and intelligence; people who really took pride in their work and broke the mold for what’s expected from skilled labor. With that vision, Pittsburgh Remodeling Company slowly grew from one person, to one crew, to several crews but it has never drifted from its core value of leaving clients happy.
Pittsburgh Remodeling Company breaks the mold for residential remodeling companies in a few ways; we’re an open book company, and we believe in sharing our success with our employees. We communicate with our clients visually with the aid of Sketchup (3D modeling software) and encourage teamwork and cooperation throughout our organization. Although we have the capacity to work on several projects at a time, we take a lot of pride in the amount of personal attention we show our clients and the consistency with which our projects are staffed and executed.
