Swipe to see the transformation of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Copiague, New York, rebuilt after a devastating fire. Rohn Design developed the church’s sacred and liturgical art program, including custom church murals depicting Marian themes such as the Seven Sorrows of Mary, restored historic statues, Stations of the Cross, and a cohesive interior design that brings the sanctuary together. From the original sketches and color renderings to the finished murals and artwork, every element was developed to work within the architecture and tell the story of the Catholic faith.

This Nativity window concept sketch by Renate Rohn was created for a client as part of the development of a custom stained glass design. The Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, and the Christ Child are surrounded by shepherds, Magi, and angels, with each figure thoughtfully developed to reflect its place in the story of Christ’s Nativity.

A powerful moment during the installation of the monumental Holy Trinity crucifix at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Visalia, California, as God the Father is carefully lifted into place under the direction of liturgical designer Rolf Rohn.

Created for a newly united parish bringing together four communities, the crucifix gives visible expression to their becoming one Church, gathered around Christ. With God the Father above the crucified Christ, the sculpture places the mystery of the Holy Trinity at the center of the sanctuary and at the heart of the new parish community.

Hand-carved by a skilled Polish artisan, this lindenwood Corpus captures the quiet dignity of Our Lord in His final moments. His eyes are gently closed beneath the crown of thorns, His face is filled with profound tenderness, and His expression reveals both the suffering of the Passion and the peace of complete trust in the Father's will.

The journey into the life of the Church begins at the baptismal font, where water becomes the sign of new life in Christ. For St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Visalia, California, we created a custom cruciform baptismal font that expresses the sacred meaning of the Sacrament through form, symbolism, and craftsmanship.

Designed with separate basins for infant and adult baptisms, the cross-shaped font is lined with black granite and features a custom mosaic depicting the radiant imagery of the Holy Spirit. Developed in collaboration with the pastor and the New Church Building Committee, every element was thoughtfully considered. Five crosses incorporated into the design symbolize the wounds of Christ, while Cantera stone and hand-selected Italian materials contribute to its beauty, durability, and permanence.

Created for a newly united Catholic community, the baptismal font reflects the coming together of distinct parish traditions into one shared place of worship. It serves as both a liturgical focal point and a meaningful expression of the new life, unity, and faith established at St. Charles Borromeo.

At the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption in Marietta, Ohio, we created a custom marble pulpit as part of the basilica’s comprehensive liturgical design and restoration program. Crafted with extraordinary attention to detail, it features hand-carved miniature statues of the Four Evangelists, whose writings bear witness to the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. Designed to complement the matching marble altar and baptismal font, this ambo provides a dignified setting for the proclamation of Scripture and the celebration of the liturgy.
