Here's the part of running a web studio nobody talks about much: your own site is a live argument for everything you tell clients.

For two years, ours wasn't winning that argument.

We ran thebackyardbougie.com inside a popular web-builder because it kept our stack consolidated. It made sense right up until we had to be honest with ourselves — our mobile performance scores were in the mid-70s no matter what we trimmed, we had two documented accessibility exceptions we couldn't engineer around, and our carefully written schema blocks were injecting inconsistently across pages.

Those are the exact problems we help clients fix. Running them on our own site wasn't something we could keep justifying.

We moved to Astro on Hostinger this year. The new build ships as pure HTML for every page that doesn't need JavaScript, clears WCAG 2.1 AA with no third-party exceptions, and loads the way a site should load. The full story — what broke, what we built, and what we learned on the other side — is on the blog.

If your business site is running into similar ceilings and you want to talk through whether a platform move makes sense, we're an honest call. Either the timing is right, or it isn't — either answer saves you something.

Two chairs. One sunset. A glass of something good.

We're starting a new tradition this year — Friday Night Wine Down, the first Friday of every month, here at the farm.

The first one is Friday, June 5 at 6:00 PM.

Bring something to share. We'll handle the rest.

RSVP at the link in our profile.

When Chez Bacchus came to us, they had a legacy website, over 5,000 contacts with no proper opt-ins, and no system to keep guests coming back.

They needed more than a facelift. They needed a foundation.

Here's what we built together:

A fully custom website designed to match the warmth and sophistication of their dining experience — mobile-first, reservation-ready, and built for local visibility.

An AI-powered Virtual Concierge — a voice agent that handles guest inquiries, takes reservations, and provides real-time support around the clock. Two-party consent certified. Always on.

A complete re-permissions campaign that cleaned 5,000+ contacts and rebuilt their list the right way — fully TCPA compliant, ready for remarketing.

And a relaunched VIP Club capturing birthdays, anniversaries, and guest milestones — turning one-time visits into long-term relationships through automated campaigns.

This is what intentional brand building looks like. Not overnight results. Real work, built side by side.

Ready to build something like this for your business? Let's talk. Link in bio or DM us to start the conversation.

Sunday evening belongs to no one's to-do list.

We asked our community what they actually do when the week finally lets go. Not what they aspire to do. What they really do, on their own porches, in their own words.

Seven rituals showed up again and again — candles before sundown, a cold glass of something good, bare feet on warm concrete, music low enough to hear the neighbors' dog.

None of it costs much. All of it costs attention. That's the whole point.

Save this for the next Sunday you need permission to slow down. And drop your own ritual in the comments — we read every single one. 🌾

Your Instagram feed is working against you — and you probably cannot see it.

We audit a lot of small-business feeds. After a while, the same four mistakes show up almost every time. Not because the owners do not care — they care deeply. But nobody told them what actually moves the needle, so they keep doing what feels right and wonder why nothing grows.

Here are the four mistakes, and the one-line fix we give every new client:

1. Posting about the product instead of the problem it solves. Fix: write every caption as if you are answering a question your customer already has.
2. Inconsistent visual identity — three filters, four fonts, no through-line. Fix: lock one palette, one typeface, one light direction and touch nothing else.
3. A bio that describes what you are, not who you serve. Fix: rewrite your bio as "I help [person] do [thing] without [pain]."
4. No call to action — or the same one every time. Fix: rotate between save, share, DM, and link — and mean each one.

This is the first conversation we have with every Momentum client. After that, it runs on autopilot.

Save this for the next time you sit down to audit your own feed — or DM us the word AUDIT and we will take a look for free. 👀
