The dream for Fairview Park was dreamt up in 2016. That vision was completed in three phases and the end result is amazing, if we do say so ourselves! Phase III added a half basketball court, two bag-toss games, and a hexagonal shelter with solar powered lights! The other phases saw colorful and inclusive play elements brought to the site.

Dellwood Park in Lockport, IL is getting a makeover! Upland Design is assisting the Lockport Park District with trail and amenity renovations along with adding a beautiful 40’x70’ shelter, outdoor fitness equipment, GaGa Ball pit, and a butterfly garden with nature play elements. We encourage you to and visit this lovely park that has plenty of space to social distance and get your steps in!

Upland Design worked on a team with RTKL Associates Inc. to develop a design for the Wheeling Town Center. The design included a plaza space and entry walk into One Wheeling Place which is a luxury apartment building complex. Upland assisted with the design of the inner courtyard which includes a pool, bocce ball court, shelters and many other amenities that the residents can use!

Meet the Team! Upland Design would like to welcome Ted Doscher to our team of Landscape Architects. Ted received his education from Iowa State University in 2009, and has worked on a wide range of Landscape Architectural projects from Military Master Plans and Anti-Terrorism design layouts to Streetscape community enhancements.
"My design ethos has always been to create a better world for my children to grow, learn and play in. When I am not designing, I am typically out on my bike exploring the gravel trails around Iowa and Minnesota, or paddling around the lake with my family on our kayaks."
