🚨It's that time of year where the weather can change within minutes and we can expect some pretty severe storms. Like most electronics in your home, a surge protector is being used, your garage door opener should also be plugged into one. If you do not have one in your garage, we recommend unplugging your opener during a storm if you do not plan on leaving home. Thunderstorms and lightening can do a lot of damage on your opener and can fry the circuit board, this happens more than you'd think. Below are a few symptoms your may be showing if affected by storms:
🌩️Opener functions erratically
⚡️Remote & keypad stop working
🌩️LED lights on the safety sensors are not lit
⚡️Opener acts as if it has no power even when there is power going to the outlet
🌩️The light on the back of the circuit board flashes constantly

Always back completely out of the garage. Once the car is backed out of the garage and the garage door closed, large concentrations of gas still remain trapped in the garage. In a house built with an attached garage, part of the gas then seeps into the house where it remains for hours.
