🌈✨ Hewitt's Handicraft Haven is going out in the wild today! ✨🌈

Julie will be at Pride in the Park today from 10am–4pm in Platteville City Park!

She'll be unveiling our brand-new bookmarks that Pete finished up yesterday, and she brought along a selection of other items from the store as well. 📚🎨

While you're there, be sure to check out the Platteville Farmers Market, which is going on until Noon today. Between the market vendors, Pride festivities, and local artisans, there will be plenty to see and do!

We are incredibly proud. 💫 Most of you know that Gabrielle helps us with some of our crafts and sells her own at the store, but this year she wanted to try something a little different. This was her first time decorating and our girl earned a Blue ribbon and a Best of Show ribbon for her cake 🎂 and a Red ribbon for her cupcakes 🧁. We are proud of her hard work and her courage to get her projects judged. 🤗 It may have taken several+ hours and one really late night, however, she pushed through her frustrations and exhaustion to create these beautifully decorated goodies. 🥰 She left the event with some constructive feedback from the county fair judge and a big smile on her face. 😻 Some of you know, but most probably don't know that Pete was a certified baker at the Dick's Supermarkets' central bakery for over seven years and Gabrielle had him dust off his baking skills. He even showed her how to test the cake and cupcakes to make sure they were done.

For the next three weeks, we'll have a slight change to our store hours:

🕘 **Tuesday–Wednesday:** 9:00am–2:30pm
🕘 **Thursday:** 9:00am–8:00pm *(stop in before Music in the Park!)*
🕘 **Friday:** 9:00am–3:00pm
🕘 **Saturday:** 9:00am–4:00pm

🎨 **DIY Project Drop-In Hours Remain the Same!**

Join us:

🖌️ Saturdays from 10:00am–4:00pm

No reservations needed! Stop in solo, bring a friend, or make it a family outing. Choose from our current DIY projects, grab a seat, and get creative right here in the store. We'll provide the supplies—you provide the imagination!

Pete has a new machine to learn! We can't promise there won't be a little trial and error along the way, but over the next few weeks he should be creating some really cool new items for the store. Stay tuned—we're excited to see what he comes up with!
