The Hospitality Institute of Sanya on Hainan Island features a training resort hotel, conference center, classroom buildings, faculty housing, student dorms, and central campus quad all designed by DAHLIN.

Congratulations to our partners at Wakeland Housing and the entire project team on receiving the Project of the Year Award in the Rehabilitation category for Serenade on 43rd at the 2026 San Diego Housing Federation Ruby Awards. This recognition highlights the collective effort to create high-quality affordable housing that serves the San Diego community.

Serenade on 43rd brings together the rehabilitation of existing residences and new construction to create 65 affordable homes, including permanent supportive housing through the County of San Diego’s No Place Like Home program.

We are excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of Rise with partners Affirmed Housing and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. This affordable housing community will provide 195 affordable homes, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, helping create a more connected community as part of the Berryessa BART Urban Village Plan.

Congratulations to all involved, including the Santa Clara County Office of Supportive Housing, Destination: Home, and the Santa Clara County Housing Authority, on reaching this significant milestone and bringing this vision one step closer to reality.

Cienega takes cues from 1930s Los Angeles courtyard housing, introducing a series of Spanish-inspired attached homes within an established neighborhood of single-family residences.

Details such as deep-set windows, tile accents, and custom ironwork are carried consistently across all units in this Long Beach development. This allows the project to read as one cohesive building, rather than a collection of individual units.
