🌱 Planted these seedlings a few weeks ago and now it’s officially the waiting game!
Pinching, watering, w**ding… and trying my best to be patient while they do their thing.

A blowtorch! It makes putting holes in w**d barrier easy, seamless, and fun! 🔥

If you have raised garden beds, this is hands-down my absolute favorite way to plant dahlias! 🌸✨
Super simple and effective:

🌱 Dig trenches
🌱 Toss in your tubers, staggering them 8–12 inches apart
🌱 Bury them with soil
🌱 Hold off on watering until the sprouts pop up

This method prevents rot and makes planting a whole bed a breeze. The plants absolutely thrive!

🌸 All my dahlias are officially in the ground today!
If you’re new to the dahlia club, here’s my quick planting guide:

• Spacing: 8–12 inches apart
• Depth: 6 inches deep
• Position: Lay the tubers horizontally
• Watering: Don’t water until they pop up and say hello! 👋

When can you plant? 🌱

It’s been a chilly spring, but it’s finally time! After Sunday night I’ll be getting my flowers in the ground over the next week.

I’ll be sure to share the process of tuber-planting for all our new dahlia addicts!
