How can you save money on roofing?

One way is to do a "go over".
A "go over" is when we install new asphalt shingles over your old shingles.
Massachusetts Building regulations allow you to do this if you only have
one layer currently on your roof now.
Upside: You have another layer of insulation value on your roof.
Downside: 40- 50 years from now when the roof may need to be
done again, whoever owns the house then wil have to pay to have
an extra layer removed.
Our Company currently charges $25 per layer, per square.
Example: If you have an average size roof, lets say 1,500 square feet
that would be 15 X $25= $ 375
Not such a bad downside for saving thousands now!
