Upon ripping up a layer of ¼ inch plywood and layer of ½ inch plywood, we found this gem. We often find things we don't expect when ripping up floors. Luckily with a combined over 50 years of of experience from flooring to framing to finish work, we can almost always save you the costs of bringing in another contractor. This also speeds up the process!
The block was not even, so we took our time grinding out the back of the plywood to sit perfectly on top of the uneven block. Then we glued and fastened the plywood to the block. Lastly we glued and fastened the Harwood to that section. We then brought in poles that you can adjust the tension to apply pressure allowing the glue to fully set. I think one of our best qualities, is our ability to find solutions to problems most flooring installers would walk away from.

This customer came to us with a very short timeline until her furniture was getting delivered to her new home. We knew the time-frame was next to impossible, but we had a customer catch covid and delay their job, so we had space to put it in but getting material (quality materials not big box store quality) in less than 2 weeks is tough. Somehow we managed to pull it off. 1100' of laminate rip up, 400' of sheet vinyl over plywood rip up upstairs and 500' of carpet rip up downstairs. Upstairs we did 1040' of ProGen 5" red ginger luxury vinyl plank in the whole main floor except the bath. In the bath we did Coretec Pro trestle pine lvp. Downstairs we did 500' of Coretec pro Canterbury elm (long plank). The kitchen and bathroom were an inch higher than the rest of the floors, we pulled everything out to make it one height with a continuous run of flooring throughout.

400' of 4⅛" engineered red oak. Carpet rip up, remove and replace baseboard for Award Flooring. Engineered wood is much more stable than solid wood and is a good alternative with areas with slightly more moisture than solid wood can take.

380' of 2¼ natural red oak prefinished in 2 different rooms. We ripped up the carpet, pulled the baseboard off, installed the floor, and replaced the baseboard. This was the 4th phase of wood floors in this home, doing a room or 2 every year to end up with Hardwood throughout the whole home. Neighborhood Flooring installed this floor for Award Flooring!!

In continuing to educate our customers on all aspects of flooring, id like to talk about square footage and why you can have 3 different estimates with 3 different amounts of square footage. The answer is simple really, all products come in different sizes, making most products come in boxes of differing square footage. Wood generally comes in 20 or 25 square foot boxes depending in width. However vinyl plank is almost never the same. Some come with 22.6 some with 28.62 even a couple with 35.87 sq. Ft. Also different products call for more allowance of waste. If you have a 5" x 48" plank in a square room 5% of the total sq ft is adequate if you have a 9" x 72" in a kitchen/hall/bath you could be in the 10-15% range. When ordering material sometimes you need to add an extra box, because if my calculations call for 21.98 boxes I may go with 23 to be safe. Because if you end up with a little more waste, it could cause you to be short. Some products take up to a month or longer to get. Imagine being 2 boards short, not being g able to put your home back together for a month, having to pay the full delivery charge, and lose half a day to go back to finish the job. Not to mention you always want extra stock incase you need a repair done in the future. Have a great day!!
