This is the last photo of our matriarch Margaret taken with her last oversized tree in her oversized house in December 2004. Thanks to the editing magic of AI, we took this old photo and made the tree lights, ornaments and that old lamp appear warmer just like the memories. Enjoy the holidays and make more memories. Merry Christmas to the Kincaid clan and friends.

We added new ornaments to Nannie and Poppy Wayne’s tree in Gunn Park. Red cardinals (Nannie loved feeding those birds), red houses and glass bulbs with hand-painted homes and “welcome” messages. As the plaque for our tree says, “”May the holidays always lead home.” Of course their house was a home to many.

All ornaments were on sale (which both would’ve appreciated) and some were found at Big Lots (or as Poppy Wayne called it “Big and Small Lots.”)

The tree was purchased by Eddie and Mary Sue Kincaid as part of the Light of Christmas fundraiser for local organization, Toys for Kids. Feel free to stop by and see it or add an ornament (just be sure to secure with a zip tie) and while you’re there, check out the other themed and memorial trees, and the beautiful city tree placed by the City of Point Pleasant.

For the third year in a row, the family of Wayne and Margaret Kincaid participated in the Light of Christmas tree project in Gunn Park in Point Pleasant, placing a tree in memory of Wayne and Margaret. The project benefits Toys for Kids, a local organization which supplies toys for children at Christmas. The Light of Christmas trees will be lit and on display as part of the City of Point Pleasant’s Christmas celebration. Thanks to Eddie and Mary Sue for purchasing the tree once again.

Decorating a tree in memory of Wayne and Margaret Kincaid for the Light of Christmas tree project in Gunn Park in Point Pleasant. The trees will be lit this Friday along with the City of Point Pleasant’s official Christmas tree. Kudos to Mark Kincaid (Big Mark) for sign design and to Mary Sue Kincaid for the idea to remember “Poppy Wayne” and “Nannie” at the holidays.

Hey Kincaid cousins...does anyone remember her? Mark superglued her wings once. Poppy Wayne would’ve used concrete but either works.
