New finish is creating panic in new homeowners! We are seeing this in homes less than 5 years old. It is not traditional spray lacquer, which is bad enough for durability. The warning signs are a very thin, easily damaged finish that peels off in flakes. If we can get there in time, we can minimize the damage and stabilize the finish. If too much peels off, the remedied area is too visible and you would have to have everything sanded and traditionally refinished or replaced.

Severely damaged woodwork in Lynden, WA. This was originally installed with a very thin coating and became very fragile. Our finish stabilizes and protects, but we have to get to it before it's too far gone. This one was right on the line, but came out great.
