Have you noticed that photo storage is getting smaller and smaller? I could hold all of the slides in this box as files on my phone!

BUT... sometimes that's not the point. Because really, why take away the magic of an old-fashioned slide show, perhaps even set to the soundtrack of a vintage record album? 🤩

I'm totally in favor of keeping old media around as long as
1) it's corralled in one place and not spread around the house and
2) you have a way to use it/play it.

A great book for the emotionally (and physically) heavy topic of downsizing. From the author, Marni Jameson: "If practical, older parents and adult children should sort, purge, and save together so stories can be passed down... Often, children wait until their parents move out or move on to do this work and find themselves wishing one of the parents were around to ask about the stories." Thanks North Olympic Library System for stocking such a thoughtful resource!!
