Daffodil sales will start tomorrow! Saturday!

Good morning! let's try this again on the eggs. I do have eggs for sale at the foot of the driveway. They are from a neighbor and they are guaranteed fresh. I will also have some of my own eggs from time to time. $3 a dozen.

We have eggs again! Happy Spring! I will always be honest with you about eggs. These are from another farm that is not on a major road. My own flock was decimated by predators in the fall and until I can add more hens we only have about enough eggs for our own family. But I have a friend who runs a farm animal rescue on a back road where she does not sell many eggs. So I've offered to buy her eggs and re-sell them at the same price just to make sure my regular customers have eggs. So the box is going out today. $3 a dozen. The hens are free range and the eggs are all different colors.

I have edited this page to remove the business hours, since we are closed for the winter (facebook does not seem to have a button for "closed for winter"). However, on sunny days in January and February, it may be possible to find me in the greenhouse. :-)

I'm sorry, but my hens have started to molt early and we are suddenly down to 2 eggs a day. I will have to close the egg stand until sometime in early winter when they start to lay again. There are a few chicken owners in the area who use electric lighting to keep their hens laying over the winter, so I hope you can find eggs from another source. I used lights last year, but only because my hens were new and did not start to lay in the Fall. This year, I think they have earned a rest. See you in 2017!

ooops. I moved the eggs and forgot to post it! The end of the driveway is too hot and sunny (plus I am about to plant something interesting in that box) The eggs are in the shade back in front of the greenhouse. Thanks.

Last night's weather, good grief! I had one bunch of daffodils left out, and when we brought the eggs in, the flowers were already ice, so we just left them. I'm now horrified to see that someone bought them today! Please, if you bought that last bunch of flowers, come back and I will give you some fresh ones. It looks like the weather has killed most of them, but there are still a few that haven't opened yet. Also, if anyone was looking for eggs today, I forgot to put them back out this mornig. Sorry! We do have lots of eggs.

Wow! How about this weather? This is a frustrating time for me as I watch all the winter dormant plants in the greenhouse, waiting to see the first green shoots. Should be a great year, since it wasn't all that cold. Today I saw one plant - a Cherry Brandy Rudbeckia - put up green growth almost overnight. Hoping to see lots of that in this warm weather. I'll be in the greenhouse as much as possible while it's warm, feel free to stop by for a sneak preview. Most of it is still brown, but I do have lists of what is there. Will start posting them here as soon as they start to green up. Plenty of eggs at the end of the driveway now that I don't have to bring them in at night.

Just want to mention that now that winter finally got here, if it's below freezing I may have the eggs indoors, not in the cooler. We haven't run out of eggs for the last 3 weeks, so if the cooler is empty, blow your horn or come to the door.

My two pet goats enjoy munching on used Christmas trees in the winter. If you need to dispose of a live tree, feel free to drop it in my driveway. Gizmo and Gadget will appreciate!

Glad to see some egg customers coming back. I want to let folks know that I will be bringing the eggs indoors at night if the weather is freezing. Should you stop for eggs after dark or before I've put them back out in the morning, try blowing your car horn. Hopefully that will start the dogs barking to let me know someone wants eggs. The hens are laying at least a dozen a day now, so there will be plenty of eggs!
