First, this is so awesome, she called these her flower trees. They pulled 3 trees out of the ground and turned them upside down and buried part of them in the ground. They wrapped the roots with chicken wire and filled that with dirt. Then she planted that full of flowers. What a neat idea for that big flower bed. I’ll put her flowers on in the morning.

When Christmas is over, and you’re sitting there staring at six trees, garlands on every surface, and a wreath on every door—even the pantry—you start to wonder… was all this really necessary? The excitement of ‘just a little Christmas’ in every room felt magical at the time, but now it’s like, ‘Who’s going to take all this down? Oh right, it’s me.😂😂

Suddenly, it feels like maybe I did a little too much, oops . And don’t even get me started on ornaments I hot glued to our trim in the kitchen 😂

But yes, of course, it was absolutely necessary. And yes, it was absolutely worth it. Because for a few weeks, the whole house felt like a Hallmark movie, and those memories (and photos) will last forever. January me will just have to deal!
