Thinking of selling your house? An easy and cost effective way of freshening up your house is replacing old, worn-out carpeting.

There’s no need to spend thousands upon thousands remodeling to make your house more appealing to buyers.

When potential home buyers walk in a house with new carpet, it immediately feels fresher, cleaner and move-in ready. At Kensington we call fresh carpet and paint the “new house smell” similar to buying a new car vs used car with that new car smell.👃

Better yet the buyer doesn’t know what you paid for that carpet, and chances are they’re going to assume it cost a whole lot more than it actually did. That’s especially true when you’re buying it from Kensington Carpets.

We buy in bulk and sell wholesale to the public, so you can often replace the carpet in several rooms for a small fraction of what you’d spend at a normal flooring retailer. A buyer doesn’t know whether you spent $800 or $3,500 on that new carpet. They just see fresh, clean flooring and one less thing they’ll have to replace after moving in.

Keep in mind when buyers see old, stained, or worn-out carpet, they tend to start mentally deducting money from what they’re going to make an offer at. Most of the time they’ll estimate the replacement cost much higher than what it would actually cost you to have it done at Kensington. New carpet will make a HUGE difference in how your home shows and how buyers perceive it.
