I grew my own luffa sponges 🙉
Since the season wasn't long enough, I wasn't able to let the fruit dry on the plant, but you can still get sponges inside if they are green.
I peeled the whole fruit, then began squeezing the sponge in a bowl of water until all the pulp and seeds were gone, and this is the result.
Will now leave to dry inside for 24hrs and we will then have beautiful sponges ready to use! 🧽
