May The Fourth be with us as we finish up Annabel's lilac and navy blue room makeover! 👏

And The Force was with us, as we sorted through clothes, books and toys to pass along all the things.

Feeling thankful and yet...

Why is there always some nostalgia in parting with the things kids outgrow? It's a tangible indicator of time passing. Right? I still have preemie baby onesies I still can't part with! 😅

But the main feeling is gratitude for experiencing it all. ❤

So, a new to us loft bed (a find from the Habitat Restore), new carpet (without hardened slime), snazzy rug, fresh wall color, chair swing and this almost 11 yo sweetie is ready to roll with her self-described boho room!

Her white dresser also got its own navy blue makeover with gold handles that I spray painted.

And with a Galactic nod to Star Wars, it's on to her brother's room for the next Spring makeover. 😍

Spring is in the air and I'm thinking about how camping in the Great Outdoors has helped us handle a crazy year. 🌼🌻🌷

Just being outside and hearing the birds singing or the wind rustling through the trees calms body and soul. ❤

This is Random Acts of Kindness Week and it got me thinking about kindness over on the blog.

Times when I’ve been kind and the many, many times when others have been kind to me.

Their purposeful and sometimes random acts of goodness are sprinkled throughout my life like vast interconnected webs, too many to count, and yet so many stand out, never to be forgotten.

Like how these canvas storage baskets helped get clutter under control in our often crazy family room! 💕

Yay for storage goals!👏💪

They fit right into the open shelf on the coffee table.

That coffee table got a little refresh too with some navy blue paint.

Sending happy Saturday vibes your way!
I sorted and steeped these sea shells overnight to put in the resin countertops for the patio Tiki bar project currently under construction by Himself!🍹🏝
Think bamboo frame and sloping thatched roof, almost like an old Irish cottage ... but not, and you get the idea of how it looks.
We haven't worked with resin before, so it should be interesting. Have you? Let me know if you have any pointers.
Along with the shells, I'm adding some sand, blue sea glass and some bright shiny objects, 'cos gotta have the bling! 😂
