Good morning, Port Townsend. Recently it has come to my attention that there has been some Handy Randy sightings out in his native habitat. While not as elusive as Sasquatch, he can be spotted in crawl spaces, attics, under sinks or even Henery’s hardware. If you spot him out in the wild, please do not hesitate to say howdy. And if you are lucky enough to get a photo of him at work, please tag it .

Howdy Port Townsend! Sorry I have been missing from Facebook the last several weeks, but I have been very busy posting.

I have been installing deck post, handrail post, post for ADA ramps, fence post and mailbox post. I have also replaced a rotten post on a covered porch, and extended some fence post to add a rail to keep our hungry deer out of the dahlias. For National Arbor Day I used sticks as post for a garden arbor. Heck, I have even stood in line at the Post Office!

But one thing I have not done recently is do a post on Facebook. So to all my Port Townsend friends, I promise to do a better job updating you on the adventures of your friendly local handyman. As well as fixing or installing every kind of post you can possibly need.

Howdy Port Townsend. I am happy to report that the cuckoo clock lives! After ten years stored broken in a box, Handy Randy repairs a beloved family heirloom and returns it to service chiming the time away!

Hola Port Townsend. Handy Randy has been very busy taking naps on the beach, taking long walks on the beach and enjoying ice cold cervezas on the beach. Life has been good!

Then Mrs. Handy Randy and I decided to give Pickleball a try.

The good news is that Handy Randy will be returning to Port Townsend three weeks early, ready to tackle your to do list starting February 9.

The bad news is my wife will be getting surgery for a torn ACL in her knee.

Needless to say, no more Pickleball!

Hasta la vista Puerta Townsend. As I prepare to leave for my two month sabbatical in Zihuatanego, Mx, I wanted to thank all my friends here in Port Townsend for allowing me into your homes, yards, attics, under your decks and into your crawl spaces.

After 35 years working as a commercial photographer for large corporations, I find great joy in helping individuals. I love visiting with you, and hearing your life stories. I truly enjoy helping you with small, medium or muy grande projects.

So for the next 60 days, please tape a piece of paper to the fridge and make a list for me, because March 1, I will be tan, rested and ready to take on your list.

Howdy Port Townsend. I hope all of you are staying warm. I have been busy working in the shop and staying near the heater!

Here is a project I just finished. Replacing a tired flat panel door from the 60’s to and updated farmhouse style door. I had to custom fit it and paint it to match the old door. What do you think?

Just a reminder, I am t-30 days until I give up my shop heater and wool socks for the beaches of Zihuatanejo. So if you need anything done before Christmas please shoot me a message.

Howdy Port Townsend. Handy Randy just finished and wheel chair ramp for a client getting out of rehab on Friday. I’m happy I was able to step in and get the ramp finished before he got home.

I feel very grateful when I am able to help someone be mobile and improve their quality of life.

Howdy Port Townsend! Here I am putting the finishing touch on a new solid cherry tabletop I built for a client. The original veneered top was too damaged to repair.
