The focus of this project was to address the awkward kitchen/half bath layout and include more storage space.
Before the renovation, you entered through the dining room, through a hallway with small cabinetry on the left and an oversized half bath on the right. At the end of the hallway, you’re greeted by the very tiny, very old kitchen.
After the renovation, you now enter through the dining room and are greeted by an open concept galley kitchen with a half bath in the right corner. This layout allows much more natural light to flow through the space and even brings the half bath closer to the back yard, perfect when entertaining outback !

We loved installing this backsplash! The tiles have a purposefully “imperfect” wavy texture. Overall, they carry a soft blue hue around the kitchen that compliments the bold butcher block counters. When looking closely, you will notice the varying blues that deepen around the edges, creating a beautiful worn or washed affect.
