Exciting News for the NM Senior Farmers' Market Program

Applications are being accepted again for the coming Farmer Market Season. Additional funding has been provided, and you WILL be able to use the benefits to purchase eggs this year. Benefits begin on July 1, 2026.

What is SFMNP?
Is a USDA program designed to provide low-income seniors with access to fresh, nutritious, locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey. It aims to support seniors’ health and nutrition while also benefiting local farmers by promoting direct sales through farmers’ markets, roadside stands. Eligible seniors receive benefits in the form of electronic cards to purchase approved foods.

Am I Eligible?
You must be:
60 years of age or older (Non-Native American) or
55 years of age or older (Native American) and
Live in New Mexico
