Arlington Heights project continues to take shape.
We were asked to view this dated condo while our longtime client was out of town, and knew immediately it held real potential beneath its closed off rooms and disconnected layout, and the view didn’t disappoint either. She was starting a new chapter, wanting to be in the center of the action with no maintenance headaches and the freedom to lock up and go at a moment’s notice, and we encouraged her to see what we saw in the space, if opened up.
That vision guided every decision behind these walls. Archways were widened, doors to the service hall came down, and the layout was reimagined for the way she actually wants to live and move through her home.
Since demo, the project has continued to move forward. Design doesn’t happen in a straight line, and while construction progressed, countless decisions were happening alongside it, each one informed by the others. This client was working within an abbreviated timeline, and our relationship with Apex Construction, our longtime builder, meant condo board and city partnership approvals moved quickly, especially when time is tight.
