Right now is the time to get on our schedule. Don't wait till it rains and lawns are overgrown to call. Overgrown first time cuts can be expensive! Avoid a high first time cut and get a maintenance price instead or a fair first time cut if a lil overgrown. So if you are thinking of getting our schedule, now is the time. Here's a flowered job we did for a client in Portland. Took a whole day to finish it. Every brick is leveled and paver base put in front and back of bricks to keep them locked in and not move. Never volcano much a tree or shrub. The way I put mulch is a nice layer but looks like this due to roots. Either way it's not a volcano mulch, just a slope.

How to reinforce flowerbed bricks. Please understand that a strong rain will unlevel them. Either way, I do my best to keep them very level for a long time!

Water your lawn. Fertilize every 3-4 months. Make sure to put fungicide/Insecticide if you have brownish yellowish spots on your lawn. Make sure to put w**d killer on your lawn as well. Mow your yard on a set schedule. Don't put just any fertilizer, w**d killer, fungicide or Insecticide on your lawn till you identify the type of grass you have! There are many types of St Augustine grasses. Floratam is a St Augustine but its own class. Before using a chemical that says wotks on St Augustine, make sure it works on Floratam. Most do not! There a couple of types of Bermuda grasses as well. Be extremely careful what you put on your lawn. I had to resod a customers lawn because he used something not for his lawn. At A&J Sanchez Lawn Service, we know how to treat your lawn. We are a landscaping business. Water alone will not help your lawn. Over watering will also damage it. Make sure sure to pick or shred those leaves in your yard because leaves can damage your lawn as well. There is so much to learn about lawn care. Plants require a lot of care as well. We know how to take care of them. We can give you advice on whatever you need but its your job to listen. The City of Portland will not pay for your lawn to get resoded. Sod, dirt work, sod installations, sod care all cost thousands of dollars! Its cheaper to water and put the chemicals your lawn needs. Two years again, a customer paid someone 6k to resod her small back yard. Inflation has definitely gone up, so please listen to my advice or you will definitely pay thousands! Most companies use Floratam without telling you. So be careful and ask what they are installing!

This scotts fertilizer says its for St Augustine, notice it says not for Floratam. So read the instructions and make sure you know what type of grass you have before using!!!

There is paver base (step 1) and paver sand (step 2). To level out these bricks, you will need step 1. Make sure to level correctly as much as possible. Its not a perfect world but do your best. Thats how I level flowered bricks. Its not easy!

I've had business owners tell me why post what I post. Like get into business politics. I post it because no matter what, ppl will judge you. You can be professional on your page yet ppl know the real you and how you really are. As a business owner, you can donate, volunteer or have giveaways and ppl will just say its a write off! You can say you are struggling as a business owner and ppl will check out the house and car you have and judge you off of that. You can say you are struggling and they see you have nice tools and equipment. No one ever sees what we spend to stay open. No one sees our loses. No one cares about our struggles. A business owner speaks up and gets shut down, hated or boycotted. What a politician says doesn't offend many but what a business owner says offends just about everyone! So it doesn't matter how good you are, how professional you are or if you do it from the heart, someone is always judging you. I don't try to fit in because I keep it real!

Be you in a world of hate. Let ppl judge you. Don't be fake. The right ppl will follow you and your business 💯
