Last, but not least, is a wrapped kitchen island. The homeowner selected a large-format porcelain from called Calacatta Hermitage by Infiniti. This was her existing island cabinet. She no longer wanted a seating overhang, but didn’t want to lose any of the countertop work surface. ✨

On a smaller, but not less trickier scale were these two vanities for a project in Lake Oswego through , the remodeling contractor on the project. The Carrara marble for both vanities came from 2 cm and 3 cm remnants in our shop✨

Next up is the primary bath shower for the Nehalem project. The homeowners selected 2 cm Sterling Calacatta matte porcelain from , and were very specific in how they wanted the veining to flow. Michael made it happen.✨

It’s the last day of 2025 (so glad to see the back end of this year!) and a mad dash to share a few installs with you. This first one is of a fireplace in a Nehalem home. To say the install was a bit tricky is just a wee bit of an understatement!
The homeowners selected 3 cm Angeli Sky Light Pol Quartzite from . Next post will be of the primary bath shower.✨

Yesterday afternoon, I stopped by the jobsite I posted about in December to take a few photos of the completed project before the homeowners moved in. did an incredible job and the place looks fantastic. I may have missed one or two of the vanity countertops we did in 3 cm Thassos PentalQuartz from , but you can see it on two of the vanities, the kitchen, and the laundry room. The great room fireplace surround and hearth and main bedroom fireplace hearth have Calacatta Cremo honed marble from , while the primary bath has Bianco Neve honed marble from Meta Marble & Granite in Seattle.✨

It’s a tale of two bathrooms! Each has shower walls in 12 mm Statuario glossy Panoramic Porcelain from and vanities in 3 cm Ebony/Negressco honed granite from . The upstairs bathroom design included the tub alcove’s ceiling and a full room wall in the 12 mm Statuario. Due to the narrow and steep stairs in the condo, we did need to put in horizontal seams in the upstairs bath, but I don’t think they’re too noticeable.
Are porcelain slab walls something you’d like in your bathroom?✨

Sooo, we did a little fireplace last week: 20-foot high from floor to rafters.😳 Yep, it was stressfull, but where there’s a wil… Anywho, the homeowner’s did NOT want the veining bookmatched (butterflied) at the vertical seam on the face of the surround, but rather wanted the veining to be continuous as much as possible. The material they selected is 2 cm Bazzillia polished marble from . Swipe to see it from a few angles (sorry about all the glare!), including a couple of in-progress shot. Phew, glad that’s done.✨

A work in progress, but almost complete! Stopped by a jobsite this afternoon to snap a few photos of some of the marble surfaces we did for an project. Only one of the fireplaces and primary bath vanity we exposes, but we also did a couple of other vanities, the kitchen, and some shower/niche pieces. The fireplace has Calacatta Caldia honed marble from , while the primary bath has Bianco Neve honed marble sourced from Meta Marble & Granite in Seattle.✨

What’s not to love about soapstone? I’m a sucker for it: I love the way it sounds (the sound of glassware set upon it is more muted), they way it feels (it’s soft to the touch), and that it’s non-porous. Our client selected a gorgeous slab of 3 cm Black soapstone from and asked us to built out a shallow mitered return to the header and surround. Don’t you wish you had a soapstone fireplace with a roaring fire it this time of year?✨
