A small project with a big punch: an under-utilized porch is enclosed to provide sorely needed space in a cramped entry hall. This addition takes its cues from the existing cedar deck fence and the angled planes of the old dutch colonial roof, while updating the house to meet its owner's sense of style and penchant for entertainment. MASA partner Garrett Martin has been asked to serve on the jury for the Water Tower PDX Competition. Seeking ideas for innovative re-use of the city's 100+ water storage containers, we will be looking at over 80 submissions this month. Winners will be announced on April 30, to be presented for public display in June. So far. things look...very interesting.
