Today we started out in East Hampton connecting a gas cooktop for a remodel we are working on. We then moved on to a call in Southington where we rebuilt a toilet and snaked a sewer main that has root intrusion. We then had a pair of East Hartford calls to finish the day

Spring is here! We replaced another three outdoor faucets today. All three were frost-free style with new quarter-turn ball valves inside. For the faucet in the photo, we had to terminate the old spigot that was above the electrical panel and drill a new hole through the brick to move the spigot to a new location. We also removed the self-piercing valve before it had a chance to burst 💥 💦🚰

We installed a frost-free hose spigot that also has a quarter-turn function and a larger, softer, and more ergonomic handle. Additionally, we removed their saddle self-piercing valve and installed a new valve along with a stainless steel braided supply line for their ice maker. Saddle valves are not code compliant and are prone to leak or burst 🚰🧊

A couple new spigots with new ball valve shut off inside in the basement. These spigots feature a ball valve style handle, operate compared to the standard multi-turn spigots that require a significant amount of effort to turn off completely 🚰🪴

Here are a few more jobs we completed. We installed two water heaters: one beneath a kitchen countertop and the other with a conveniently placed floor drain. Additionally, we repiped the water lines for a double-bowl vanity into the wall to create more space in the cabinets, as per the customers’ request

Here is a few of today’s calls. We started off replacing a heavily corroded Symmons washer machine valve and supply lines. Did you know these black poly hoses are known to rupture? Upgrading to stainless braided supply lines is a cheap insurance policy. Next, replaced a broken outside spigot and inside shut off valve in Rocky Hill. Additionally, we restored a bathroom sink that was clogged for a customer in Cromwell 🚰💧 Happy Friday everyone!

Today, we assisted some contractors we collaborate with on a basement finishing project. We relocated the softener tank to make way for the new walls they’re framing. During the repiping of the water main, we also installed a new whole-house filter with a bypass, isolation ball valves, unions, and a drain to simplify filter changes. Additionally, we repiped approximately 50 feet of water piping in other parts of the basement to maximize the available space for the homeowners, reducing the amount of space that needs to be boxed out for the contractors

We’re finalizing another remodel project with champagne bronze finishes. The bathtub was transformed into a walk-in shower, and the single-bowl vanity was upgraded to a double-bowl vanity. This condo is almost ready for its new owners!
