Growth

The Green Giant arborvitae can grow up to 3 feet per year and can reach a mature height of 50–60 feet and a mature spread of 12–15 feet.

Watering

Fertilization

Apply continuous release granular fertilizer at the rate recommended on the package.

Mulching

A mulch layer 3 to 6 inches deep around the base of the tree can help preserve soil moisture and protect the roots from drying out, freezing, or overheating.

Maintenance

The Green Giant arborvitae is a low-maintenance landscaping choice that requires little to no pruning.
