PORTSMOUTH LOCALS: Tonight, Monday Feb 10th at 5:30 pm, join us for the Sherburne property workforce housing meeting to hear about the design proposed for this site and the results of the recent community workshops.

The community meetings about this project have allowed the design and development team to gather feedback from the community, and create the best design to serve the needs of incoming residents and the existing community.

Today's meeting will:

o Discuss questions and comments received so far
o Recap key highlights

The meeting will be held at the Eileen Dondero Foley Council Chambers, Municipal Complex.

The City of Portsmouth is seeking developers to convert the former Sherburne School into workforce housing. The next city council meeting about this project will be Monday, Dec 9th at 7pm at City Hall (there will be an opportunity for public speakers).

We support the local, Portsmouth-based developer Portsmouth Housing (PHA) for this project.

PHA will:

// Retain Local Economic Impact //
PHA is not financed by the City; revenue from development and property management funds its operations. Funds generated by a PHA-led development will be reinvested in Portsmouth, allowing additional new housing.

// Local Control and Accountability //
PHA is governed by a Board of Commissioners who are all Portsmouth residents, ensuring that decisions about the property reflect local needs and priorities.

// Strong Community Partnerships //
PHA has relationships with local organizations, city departments, and community volunteers to deliver essential services to residents including seniors, families, individuals with disabilities, and local workers. PHA supports not only housing but also the broader well-being of Portsmouth’s residents.

// Proven Track Record of Success //
PHA has successfully developed high-quality, permanently affordable housing in Portsmouth. The most recent example of this is the Ruth Lewin Griffin Place Workforce Housing property in downtown.

The momentum is building at Taylor Pointe as PC Construction Company is working wonders inside all three buildings. The masons are gearing up to add the finishing details of stone veneer and siding and SMC Management Corp. is preparing to kick off leasing just after Labor Day. This project features over 180,000 sq ft of contemporary living in three four-story apartment buildings with podium parking, retail space, an on-site leasing office, and amenities such as a fitness center, yoga studio, game room, and community kitchen.

The wait is almost over! The Hadley Falls multi-family project is nearing completion, with community and amenity spaces ready to welcome the first residents this month. This project breathes new life into the old Goffstown Mill building, offering sixteen premium rental units with stunning views of the Piscataquog River and eighty units across two new buildings. MSA is pleased to be a part of Goffstown's revitalization journey!

A spectacular collaboration between The Brook and the iconic Kowloon restaurant is coming soon! The Brook in Seabrook, N.H., will have a brand-new Asian dining experience crafted in partnership with the esteemed Wong family of Kowloon in Saugus, MA. Prepare your taste buds for a fusion of flavors as we follow this new partnership. Congrats to The Brook on this exciting new venture!

It won't be identical to Kowloon, but a second concept of the beloved restaurant is opening in a New Hampshire casino in summer 2024.

MSA is proud to announce that Ally Rugg is a licensed architect and has been promoted to Project Architect!

Ally began her journey with MSA as an intern in 2018 and 2020 while attending Wentworth Institute of Technology. She quickly proved herself to be an invaluable asset to the team. Ally’s passion for architecture shines in every project she is involved in, from custom single-family homes to local downtown Portsmouth projects like the Music Hall Lounge and the Music Hall Members' Club.

Work is moving swiftly at the Brookline Workforce Housing Development in Concord, NH. The framing of all three buildings is nearly complete and ready to welcome siding – the finishing touch! Unit painting and cabinetry installation are in full swing, creating cozy spaces for future residents.

We are eagerly awaiting the spring thaw to kickstart our landscaping plans—soon we’ll be seeing green!
