🚪🔧 Sometimes the little things can cause bigger problems!

We recently had a commercial customer call us out because they were having trouble with the front door lock. The metal ring around the lock had come loose, and the repeated movement was starting to cause damage to the flooring underneath.

Our technician inspected the door and found that the bottom thumb turn needed to be repaired. He also replaced and secured the metal ring around the lock to help prevent further movement and keep it from continuing to damage the floor.

This chiller door threshold needed a little extra attention! Upon inspection, our technician found that the existing concrete anchor screws had broken off, leaving the threshold improperly secured.

🔧 On the return visit, our technician drilled new anchor holes, countersunk the threshold as needed, and installed new concrete fasteners to securely anchor everything back in place.

🚻🔧 Another quick repair to keep things moving!

We were recently called out for a broken privacy lever on a men's restroom door. The existing lever had failed and needed to be replaced.

Our technician:

🛠️ Shimmed out the strike to ensure proper alignment
✅ Tested the lock to make sure it was operating correctly

🔧🔋 Sometimes it's just one small connection!

We were recently called out to a customer location where a 9-volt connector had broken, preventing the device from operating properly.

Our technician was able to remove the damaged connector, splice in a new 9-volt connector, and get everything back together without replacing the entire unit.

After-hours door repair!

We recently responded to an overtime service call for a commercial door that wasn't latching properly. The culprit? The strike latch had dropped too low, preventing the panic bar from engaging correctly and leaving the door difficult to secure.

After inspecting the door, our technician found that the door had begun to sag, throwing the hardware out of alignment.

Here's how the repair was completed:

🚪🔧 Sometimes a door looks beyond repair... until you take a closer look.

We were recently called out to inspect a back door panic bar that had completely come apart. When our technician arrived, both the panic bar and the outside trim were hanging off the door. 😳

After investigating, he found that the mounting screws had snapped off inside the trim studs, preventing the hardware from being reattached.

Instead of replacing the entire panic bar, our technician was able to repair the existing hardware by:

🔩 Drilling out the broken screws.
🛠️ Re-tapping the studs.
🔧 Reinstalling the panic bar and outside trim.
✨ Securing everything with brand-new mounting screws.
✅ Testing the door to ensure it operated smoothly and securely.

This repair is a great example of how the problem isn't always the hardware itself—sometimes it's the fasteners holding everything together. With the right tools and experience, a repair can often get a door back in service without replacing the entire assembly.

We were initially called out to a business because they needed their side door secured. Our technician quickly got the door safe and secure, but during the visit, it became clear there were additional issues throughout the building.

After inspecting the other openings, the customer decided it was the perfect time to address them all at once.

On our return visit, our technician:
🔧 Repaired 7 commercial doors.
🔒 Installed new locks where existing locks had failed.
🔑 Rekeyed all of the new locks, giving the customer one key that operates every door.

🚪🔧 Some door repairs take a little extra muscle!

We were recently called out to inspect two commercial front entrance doors that weren't operating the way they should.

After a thorough inspection, our technician found that the bottom pivot hinges had failed, causing both doors to sag and preventing them from functioning properly. The active door also had a safety chain that wasn't allowing the door to open to its full intended range.

Once the customer approved the repair, it was all hands on deck! 💪

Because these were tall, heavy commercial doors, two of our technicians returned to complete the installation safely and efficiently.

Here's what the job involved:
🔩 Removed both entrance doors.
🚪 Installed new full-length continuous hinges on both doors.
⛓️ Relocated the existing safety chain (or replaced it with a longer one) to allow the active door to open properly.
📏 Rehung, aligned, and adjusted both doors.
✅ Tested everything to ensure smooth, reliable operation.

Continuous hinges are a great solution for high-traffic commercial entrances because they distribute the weight of the door across the entire frame, reducing wear on individual hinge points and helping extend the life of the opening.
