The scariest thing we see all year isn't a ghost.
It’s hiring the wrong contractor. (maybe)

It's a deck fastened to a house with no flashing at the ledger. Water gets behind it, freezes, thaws, and slowly rots the connection holding the whole deck up.

On the job this week: a lean-to barndo going up in Hayden -it’s a small garage with living space included.

A lean-to is one of the hardest-working structures on a property. Posts set below frost depth, a roof pitched to shed snow, and sized for what's actually parking under it and the living space will be cozy and comfortable.
