The secret to cohesion in a home? Repetition. Notice how the chartreuse pillows echo the tones in the throw blanket, or how the brass in the chandelier is quietly repeated in the console table legs and bedside lighting. Nothing is loud or obvious, but your eye registers the connections instantly.

That’s the difference! Cohesion happens when every detail is intentionally repeated and layered to tell one unified design story.

I am SO excited to share my recent feature in the Wall Street Journal Off Duty section! Seeing this Rockville home transformation in print is such a surreal milestone for me. 🤍

This feature highlights how a home's needs shift dramatically when the kids move out. My goal for this project was to balance an elevated, luxurious aesthetic with everyday functionality. By opening up the kitchen and adding custom built-ins, I gave the space a fresh and personal touch. As my clients' lives evolve, their homes should reflect their current needs. Thank you to everyone who made this incredible feature possible!

Three dining rooms, all completely different and bold in their own way. The truth is, there’s no single version of bold. Every space shows up differently depending on who it’s for and how it’s meant to be used. One might lean into sculptural statement chairs that instantly define the room while the other has a pop of color that completely shifts the mood.

I have the same intention behind all three: design that supports your everyday life while still reflecting your personality. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all spaces, I design for how you live, what you’re drawn to, and what actually feels like you.

Stairs are one of the hardest working elements in a home. Morning rush, evening wind down, and everything in between. For this staircase, I wanted impact, but it also had to hold up to real life. I added wall molding to introduce architectural interest, while the performance runner provides warmth and texture that can easily withstand constant foot traffic.

Built for daily wear, but still worth noticing on your way up!

Some corners of a home just become your favorite, and this is one of them. In this primary bedroom, the daybed isn’t an afterthought. It extends the bed, scaled correctly and layered with intention so every detail works together, from the textiles to the placement.

But what I love most is why it exists in the first place. The homeowner was really specific that he wanted a spot to read and cuddle up with the kids that wasn’t his bed, and this alcove ended up being perfect for it.

That’s always the goal for me. No cookie-cutter layouts, just designing spaces around the actual life happening inside them. 🤍

At the end of the day, my goal goes beyond just designing a beautiful space, but one that also supports you every day.

Your home can absolutely change how you feel, and this sunroom was designed for that pause. Coffee in hand, phone down, light pouring in. Expansive windows pull the outdoors in, while the layout keeps it easy for everyday living. It feels effortless, but every detail was intentional from start to finish.
