Well I am out for at least 3-4 weeks. You know with tree work it doesn't matter if you are 2 years experienced or 30 years experienced me 20 years in with the risk of injury or death always present. I know a few guys who had this happen to them over the years you never imagine it happening to you. Chainsaw kickback is a split second with no reaction time. I was cutting on the ground and cutting through a bunch of limbs to load in a trailer I got complacent and what I believe happened was being in a hurry cutting carelessly through a thicker in diameter piece the bar tip came in contact with a different limb that was butt up against the other causing the saw to jump back into my leg so fast I had no idea what happened or the severity because I said s**t and fired my saw back up I took two steps and the amount of blood I saw sent me into shock. 20 stitches to close the muscle so the surgeon could push my calf back into my leg 35 stitches to close the wound outside. I make no excuse other than Operator error rushing and being careless. 🌳reeCare

I answered a post over the weekend about a cat stuck in a tree for two days. After being told by the fire department and spca that they couldn't help, I had to reach out and offer my assistance. The next day I drove 45 minutes away climbed about 40ft to the top and after be scratched and bitten was able to secure the scared cat and lowered him and myself safely to the ground! If I had to I wouldn't hesitate to help again.

I have received a lot more phone calls regarding girdling roots. This is caused by a tree being planted to high or to low below the surface with mulch being placed up high inches thick on a tree ,as well as poor soil conditions that can cause roots to grow out from the tree base and laying almost surface layer even growing over top other roots in what looks like a strangle hold around the trunk of the tree. This can put tremendous stress on a tree and can eventually kill a tree not addressed. Tree roots primarily grow downward into the soil which then the roots strengthen and grab hold of the ground to help support the growth and structure of a tree. If you notice your trees look similar to the photos I provided contact your local arborist who can provide you the proper method in handling this issue. This can be done by either locating any girdling roots removing any dirt or grass from between them and severing any crossing another, this does not harm the tree as you may think as you are usually only cutting one or two problem roots. Also a root invigoration can be performed by way of high pressured air from an industrial generator blowing any and all dirt and debris from in between all roots supporting said tree. Sometimes it calls for an entire excavation of grass and soil exposing every root all the way around the tree stretching out as far as the drip line (ends of the leaves on all branches)of the tree.
