❄️ Back on the Road! ❄️
The snow is cleared, and Rock Solid is officially back out for service calls! Thank you for your patience while we waited for the roads to be safe for our crew.

While we are ready to head your way, don’t forget that many "no-heat" situations can be fixed in minutes without a service fee. Even when we're open, keep these 5 Quick Troubleshooting Steps in your back pocket:

🔄 Reset the System: Turn it off and back on—the "IT" fix for furnaces!

🌬️ Clear Your Vents: Check those outdoor PVC pipes. If snow is blocking them, your furnace will shut down for safety.

📂 Swap the Filter: A dusty filter is the #1 cause of overheating.

🌡️ Check the Thermostat: Fresh batteries and a "Heat" setting go a long way.

⚡ Check the Power: Flip the furnace switch and make sure the front panel door is snapped shut tight.

❄️ Stay Warm & Stay Safe! ❄️
Due to current road conditions, Rock Solid is unable to make service calls until the snow is cleared. If your furnace is acting up, don’t panic! Try these 5 quick troubleshooting steps to get your heat back on:

1. Reset the System 🔄
Turn your furnace off, wait a few minutes, and turn it back on. Sometimes a simple "reboot" is all it needs.

2. Check Your Outdoor Vents 🌬️
High-efficiency furnaces vent through PVC pipes on the side of your house. If snow or ice blocks these, the system shuts down for safety. Head outside and clear any drifts away from those pipes!

3. Inspect the Air Filter 📂
A dirty filter blocks airflow and causes the furnace to overheat and shut off. If it looks gray or dusty, swap it for a fresh one.

4. Verify the Thermostat 🌡️

Make sure it’s set to "Heat."

Set the temp at least 5 degrees higher than the current room temperature.

Change the batteries! Even if the screen is on, weak batteries can fail to trigger the furnace.

5. Check Power & Panels ⚡

Ensure the furnace power switch (it looks like a light switch) is flipped ON.

Check your breaker panel for any tripped circuits.

Make sure the furnace front door is completely latched. If it’s loose, a safety switch will keep the unit from running.

Stay safe and warm out there! We will be back on the road as soon as it's safe to do so. 🏠🔥

🌤️ Mild weather is the perfect time to schedule your annual furnace clean & check! 🌤️

Don’t wait until the cold hits again—routine maintenance keeps your system running safely and efficiently all season long.

Why a furnace clean & check matters:
✔️ Safety: Helps prevent dangerous carbon monoxide leaks and fire hazards
✔️ Efficiency: Saves money by lowering energy bills
✔️ Reliability: Reduces the risk of mid-winter breakdowns
✔️ Longevity: Extends the life of your furnace
✔️ Warranty Protection: Helps keep manufacturer warranties valid
✔️ Air Quality: Removes dust and allergens for cleaner indoor air

Skipping maintenance can lead to poor performance, higher costs, and serious safety risks. Regular service keeps your furnace running smoothly and gives you peace of mind.

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone!

During extreme freezing temperatures, be easy on your furnace and do NOT turn down the temperature at night. The best thing to do is to leave it set at your desired temperature.

Please be safe if you have to be out in this weather, it's brutal out there.

- Rock Solid Team

As arctic air settles into our region, Sunday, and Monday will have frigid windchills at -20 to -25 degrees. Tuesday will bring bitterly cold, wind chills from -30 to -35 degrees at times.

Frost bite can occur after only minutes of exposure to the elements.
Please stay warm and safe. Check in on family, friends and neighbors to keep them safe.

Condensation on your windows? Us too! It’s perfectly normal to have some condensation on your windows. The heat from inside and how cold it is outside reacts and then creates condensation. Similar to when you take a Pepsi out of the fridge and set it on your table during summer.

A couple ways to decrease condensation are to turn down your humidifier IF you have one. Also, you could improve your ventilation by cracking a window, I know it seems crazy, but it will increase your air exchange and remove stale air from your home. You could also run your indoor fan constantly.
