Our Sun Prairie client wanted to replace dark cherry cabinets and create a larger island for more counter workspace and seating. The cabinets are custom quarter-sawn white oak with a natural stain on the perimeter and dark espresso on the island. A drop zone was created in the existing pantry closet, and the new pantry is now located in a nook off the kitchen which was not currently in use. Gold hardware, white subway tile, and new Wolf/Sub-Zero appliances complement the design. The existing oak flooring was sanded and restained.

DC Building & Design LLC brings over two decades of licensed, fully insured craftsmanship to residential remodeling across the Greater Madison area. For this project, the homeowners wanted to transform their existing kitchen into a brighter, more functional space with an inviting, open-concept feel.

To bring this vision to life, we blended natural warmth with clean, modern lines. The standout feature of the remodel is the custom cabinetry, crafted from Black Walnut with a clear coat finish. This choice beautifully showcases the rich, natural character of the wood while maintaining a streamlined look with a sleek, modern door style.

To maximize the home's natural light and improve everyday flow, our team created a strategic opening between the kitchen and the mudroom, instantly enhancing the overall openness of the space. Finally, we ensured clutter stays out of sight by integrating a variety of creative, functional storage solutions—maximizing organization while preserving the kitchen’s crisp, sophisticated design. From initial layout to full project management, this transformation highlights our commitment to tailored, high-quality remodeling throughout Dane, Sauk, and Columbia counties.
