When Hurricane Francine passed through Louisiana, our client never imagined that they would find one of their trees laying on their home the next day. In the chaos that followed, our client still found the strength to perform all of their duties by protecting their home from further damages, contacting their insurance carrier, and cleaning up what they could while waiting on their carrier to send an adjuster to inspect their property.
After their insurance adjuster spent several hours inspecting their property, our client eventually received an insurance estimate for repairs. After reviewing this estimate, our client realized there was a lot of damage and cleanup information missing from the insurance estimate. Our client had hired a contractor at this point, who informed their client that the insurance estimate did appear to be missing a lot information on the repairs needed to the property. Our client was then able to use their contractor's expertise in conjunction with the Bayou Claim Solutions estimate to negotiate a much more reasonable settlement of coverage with their insurance carrier. After these negotiations, our client received an additional $30,850.33 in coverage from their insurance carrier, an increase of 52% above the original insurance carrier's estimate.
